Obituary

Jimmy J. -Buster- Lewis, age 72, of Salt Lick, Kentucky, building contractor, business owner, and used car lot dealer, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. He was born December 7, 1937, in Montgomery County, Kentucky, son of the late James A. -Bud- and Goldie Marie Adams Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Ernie Lee Lewis. Buster is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wilma Katheryn Kissick Lewis, whom he wed October 5, 1957; one son, Tony Lewis and his wife Hillary; two daughters, Rhonda Armitage and husband Gerald, and Rita Lewis, all of Salt Lick, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, Patrick Wayne Armitage, Matthew Lewis Armitage, James Quentin Troy Lewis, and Elese McKenna Lewis. Buster was the owner of Lewis Construction Company in Morehead, Kentucky, for 22 years, was the owner and operator of the Salt Lick Service Center and owner of Jimmy-s Auto Sales in Salt Lick from 1980-2007. He enjoyed racing go carts, woodworking, boating, and collecting classic cars. Buster was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, whose devoted wife Wilma lovingly cared for him the past seven years. Buster was an active member of the Hedrick Community Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at the Hedrick Community Church with Brother Randall Jackson, Rev. Lowell Rice, and Brother Vernon Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at the Hedricks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Lewis, Keith Pack, Dana Fultz, Aaron Roberts, Bobby McKenzie, and Lowell Jamison. Visitation is from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, and from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at Hedrick Community Church, 5308 Old Sand Road, Salt Lick, Kentucky. Visitation: Sunday, June 13, 2010, 6-9 pm Northcutt & Son; Monday, 11 am-1 pm, Hedrick Community Church Funeral: Monday, June 14, 2010, 1 pm, Hedrick Community Church Interment: Hedricks Cemetery
