Obituary

Jerry Dale Mynhier, Jr., age 45, of Salt Lick, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at his residence.

He was born August 1, 1978, in Morehead, Kentucky, and is the son of Sandra Wallace Muse and Jerry Dale Mynhier, Sr.

Jerry is survived by his wife of three years, Kimberly Johnson Mynhier, whom he married August 13, 2021; his mother, Sandra Wallace Muse and husband Dennis, whom he considered a father figure, of Morehead; a stepson, Dalton Johnson of Morehead; and two stepdaughters, Alexis McClurg of Owingsville and Brianna Johnson of West Liberty.

Other survivors include two brothers, Aaron Muse (Roxana) of Olive Hill and Caleb Muse (Alyssia) of Wells, Nevada; four sisters, Stephanie Craft (Michael) of Morehead, Tiffany Alvarado (Ivan) of Owingsville, Kelly Hylton (Bill) of Wells, Nevada, and Kortni Muse of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

Jerry was a former employee for KDMK in Mt. Sterling and was a member of Southern Brothers Motorcycle Club in Montgomery County. He and his wife Kimberly were avid fishing partners and loved being a part of the Southern Brothers Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to play jokes on them and his friends. Jerry had a big heart and will be greatly miss by all that loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Dale Mynhier, Sr. on December 31, 2013, and two stepdaughters, Janay Johnson on January 26, 2017, and Elizabeth Faith Johnson on February 10, 2011.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Raymond Stegall officiating.  Burial will follow in Wallace Cemetery on HWY 1274.

Pallbearers:  Jeffery Fultz, Shawn Miller, Bricklyn Centers, Mike Helton, Jr., Geoffrey Craft, and Michael Craft.  Honorary pallbearers:  Dennis Muse and Aaron Muse.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made payable to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals to assist with funeral expenses.
