Jeffery Lee Porter, age 47, of West Maple Avenue, Salyersville, formerly of Morehead, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015, at his home. Born December 16, 1967, in Morehead, Jeff is the son of Roger and Rita McManus Porter of Morehead. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion and best friend of 25 years, Michael Bailey of Salyersville; a sister, Valerie Ann Malone and husband Derek of Morehead; nieces, LeeAnn Malone, Rachael Maureen Malone, Amanda Nicole Malone, of Morehead, and a host of family and friends who love and miss him. Mr. Porter was a member of Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. He also obtained his Real Estate License and worked in the real estate business briefly. Funeral services for will be conducted Friday, August 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Prabell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be in Salyersville on Thursday, August 6,2015, after 5:00 p.m. at the Salyersville Funeral Home and in Morehead on Friday, August 7, 2015, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
