Jeffery Parker, age 68, of Poplar Lane, Morehead, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead after a brief illness.
Born October 30, 1952, at Hayes Crossing, he was a son of the late Denver Glenmore Parker and Janice Diane May Parker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Puckett and Joseph Parker, Sr.
Jeff is survived by one son, Joshua Eric Parker (Robyn Osborne) of Morehead; one daughter, Sarah Mae Parker Gray (Brandon) of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Alex and Hayden Gray; and the mother of his children, Brenda Skaggs Parker of Clearfield.
He is also survived by five brothers, Harvey Puckett (Shirley) of Greenwich, Ohio, Hershel David Puckett of Union City, Indiana, Linton Parker, Glen Tee Parker, Sr., and Clifton Parker, all of Morehead; two sisters, Deborah Kay Fannin (John) and Linda Sue Hamm (Rob), all of Morehead; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
Jeff retired in 2015 from Sealmaster after 39 years of service and was a former employee of Rays Saveway. He served six years in the U. S. Army National Guard and was a member of the House of Prayer.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, gardening, caring for his flowers, and painting. Jeff loved his family as well as his two dogs, Banjo and Wrangler, especially taking them to get daily ice cream treats at the gas station.
Jeff was loved by family and friends alike and will be greatly missed and remembered with love.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joe Cline and Sister Robyn Cline officiating. Burial will follow in the Parker Cemetery on Little Perry Road, Morehead, with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
The service will be live streamed on Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Facebook page beginning at 2 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Parker, Brandon Gray, Mike Eden, Larry Law, Hayden Gray, and Clifton Parker.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
