Jeffery T. Hayes, age 57, of Morehead, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014, at Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset. Born April 10, 1957, in Morgan County, he was a son of the late John and Audrey Brown Hay. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, James Stanley Hayes, Kendrick Hayes, Louise Hayes, Charlotte Hayes, Rose Johnson, Verna Carey, and Angelean Sexton. Jeff is survived by two daughters, Sancha Hayes of Mt. Sterling and Jaylah Lynn Hayes of Morehead; one brother, Quentin Hayes of Salinas, California, one sister, Celia Hayes of Somerset; and three grandchildren, Zane, Cane, and Willie. He served with the National Guard and was a drywaller. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Ray Glover and Brother Jerry Maschino officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Quentin Mayes, Jimmy Carey, Josh Trent, Terry McKenzie, Justin McKenzie, and Jerry Maschino.
