Jeff Roger Stamper, Sr., age 83, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at UK-St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

He was born April 28, 1943, in Elliott County, Kentucky, a son of the late James Stamper and Julia Conn Stamper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ella Mae Stamper; three brothers, Berlin Stamper, Johnny Stamper and Lynn Stamper; and two sisters, Nellie Wolford and Ruth James.

Jeff is survived by his daughters, Anita Stamper and Mary Bates; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff Jr. and Regina Stamper; four grandchildren, Danielle Ward, B. J. Ward (Megan Ward), Joel Ward (Abbey Ward), and Sophia Henderson; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

He was blessed to have eight great-grandchildren, James, Meeka, Catlyn, Noah, Henry, Logan, Danica, and Danny.

Jeff worked in construction and was as a sawyer. He enjoyed watching wrestling, hunting, fishing, and he was known for always cracking jokes and keeping a smile on his face. He loved an ice-cold Ale-8 and cheering his coffee. Most of all, he treasured spending time with his family. His kind heart, laughter, and presence were a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with his son, Jeff Stamper, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The service will be live streamed on Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals Facebook page beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Joel Ward, B. J. Ward, Kevin Donehue, David McClain, Rodolfo Lopez, and Jerry Stamper.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, Kentucky 40351.
