Jeanette Deloris Roberts Cornett, 78, of Dry Creek Road, Clearfield, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born October 22, 1935, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Pinkard Lloyd Roberts and Esta Thomas Roberts. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George L. Roberts, and her husband, James Attie Cornett, who passed away March 9, 2006. Deloris is survived by two sons, James Lloyd Cornett and Timothy Lee Cornett and Melodi, all of Morehead; four daughters, Deborah Shaff and Larry of Centerville, Indiana, Mollie Jones and Danny of Middletown, Ohio, Margina Combess and David of Morehead, and Denice Gribbins of Clearfield; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters and four brothers, Ruby Cornett, Connie Roberts, Charles E. Roberts and Billy Roberts, all of Morehead, and Clyde Roberts and Elijah Roberts, both of Ypsilanti, Michigan; nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends. Deloris was a homemaker and a former employee of The Morehead News and Daniel Boone Motel. She was an avid quilter and loved growing all kinds of flowers, especially roses and peonies. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Arnold Ison and Brother Clyde Mays, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Archie Ison, James Cornett, Timothy Cornett, Kenny Adkins, Josh Ison and Joe Ison.
