Jeanette Boggs Duncan, age 70, of Olive Hill, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at her residence after a battle with cancer. Born on December 6, 1945, in Olive Hill, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Enid Johnson Boggs. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her older sister, Delores Anne Boggs; sisters-in-law, Eunice Hall and Linda Duncan; and brother-in-law, Virgil Duncan. Jeanette is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Vernon 'Bunny' Duncan, whom she married January 27, 1962; two daughters, Vernetta Duncan Cole and her husband Stephen Cole and Angela Duncan Barker and her husband Jody Barker; and two grandchildren, Christian Cole and Molly Barker, all of Mt Sterling, KY. Other survivors include three sisters, Judy Gabbard, Bessie Evans, Beverly Lambert, all of Olive Hill, KY; two brothers, Glynis Boggs of Owingsville, KY, and James Boggs of Olive Hill, KY; sisters-in- law, Nora Mae Lawson, Janice Boggs, and Lisa Boggs; brothers-in-law, Grady Evans, Raymond Lambert, Lawton Gabbard, and Arnold Duncan, and Bill Hall; 16 nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. Jeanette enjoyed a variety of employment throughout the years. She worked at Dr. Smith's Family Practice, Morehead Clinic, owned Curtain Call Tanning and Toning, was a Mary Kay Consultant, co-owned Duncan Rentals and worked for the Carter County Board of Education as a bus monitor for special needs children. She had a great love for her family and put their wants above her own. She loved traveling, supporting her daughters and grandchildren in their love for tumbling and trampoline competitions, collecting Santa Clauses, quilts, paintings, baskets, and hosting family gatherings. Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, and Nana. Jeanette was comforted in knowing that she was saved and going to Heaven and would no longer be in pain. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rob Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY. Pallbearers: John Lawson, Shawn Duncan, Brady Evans, Lawton Gabbard, Thomas Lambert, Jeffrey Boggs, Zachary Boggs.
