Jean Ethel Barker Littleton, age 86, of Mellwood Lane, Morehead, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at Pioneer Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation in Flemingsburg.
Born June 21, 1936, in Henry County, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Roy V. and Lillie May Jent Barker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Charlie N. Littleton; a sister, Norma Jewell Ferrell; and a brother, Roy Melvin Barker.
Jean is survived by three sisters, Naomi Barnett of Morehead, and Wilma Gilliam and Mary Gilliam, both of Lapel, Indiana; two brothers, Cortney Barker of Somerset, Florida, and Jonathan David Barker of Minford, Ohio; a special niece, Ashley Green and husband Adam of Minford, Ohio; several other nieces and nephews, and extended relatives.
Jean was the owner and operator of Littleton's Greenhouse on Cranston Road and was a former employee of the Holiday Inn in Morehead for 20 years. She loved gardening, singing, caring for her animals, and spending time with family. Jean was a member of the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church and will be forever missed.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Noel Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
