Janet Gail Puckett, 68, went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after an extended illness on Monday evening, April 9, 2012, at Parker Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Parker City, IN. She was born November 1, 1943, in Muncie, IN, the daughter of Mildred V Nelson and the late Charles H Wilson, SR. Janet lived her childhood in Blountsville, IN before marrying and moving to Union City, IN, for 47 years. She graduated from Union High School in 1962. Janet worked 23 years at Old National Bank (formerly Farmers State Bank) before retiring in 2002 due to illness. She had a talent for crafting and decorating and expressed it through various cakes she made for several years. She previously sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry for 10+ years. She was also a Girl Scout Leader for several years. Janet was a child of God and faithful servant of the Lord, she expressed it through her prayers, actions and love for others. A woman of beauty, grace, and excellence, beholding God-s face; she walks with the Lord, with integrity, knowing her purpose, and destiny; no matter what happens, she walks in God-s love, reflecting the beauty, of her Father above. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Hershal D (Tony) Puckett, Union City, IN; daughter, Donna Gail Puckett Blake (husband Harry Jr.), of Union City, IN; two children she helped raise, DeWayne May (wife-Jessica), Morehead, KY; Melinda Copley, Ashland, KY; her mother, Mildred V, Nelson of Union City, IN (formerly of Muncie, IN); one brother, Charles Hildreth Wilson, Jr. (wife Cheryl), Losantville, IN; one sister, Joyce Ann Leffew (husband Larry), Danville, IN; six nephews and nieces, Malissa Morguson (husband Michael), Solsberry, IN, David Wilson (wife Jennifer), Albuquerque, NM, Aaron Wilson, Auburn Hills, MI; Brandi Larsen (husband Shawn), Danville, IN, Amber Leffew, Danville, IN, Craig Leffew (fianc- Jenna), Fort Mill, SC; nine great nephews and nieces; her beloved dog Jake; and uncle; cousins and several in-laws. Two dear friends Karen Baldwin (husband Guy), of Winchester, IN; Cynthia Lea (husband Jesse) of Union City, IN. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hildreth Wilson, Sr.; one brother, Jerry Lee Wilson; her beloved dog George; as well as other loving family members. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Rd. Union City, IN with Darby Livingston officiating. Family and friends may call at Reichard Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m., Friday, April 13, 2012. There will be another service at 1 P.M. Monday April 16, 2012 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Dr, Morehead, KY with Lansford May and Vernon May officiating. Family and friends may call at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals after 5 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012. Pallbearers will be John May, DeWayne May, Gardner May, Linton Parker, Joe Parker and Jeff Parker all of Morehead, KY. Burial will follow in the May Family Cemetery in Morehead, KY. Visitation: Sunday, April 15, 2012, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Monday, April 16, 2012, at 1p.m. Interment: May Family Cemetery
