James -Jimmie- Winkler, age 63, of Wilmore, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009, at the Thompson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was born August 22, 1945, in Richmond, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Chenault and Chilma James Winkler. He is survived by an aunt and uncle, Curt and Fern James Pennington of Morehead, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews. Jimmie served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Graveside services will be 5 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Brown Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating. There is no visitation.
