James Thomas 'Tom' Moore, age 42, of Possum Ridge Road, West Liberty, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013, at Morgan County ARH in West Liberty. He was born December 13, 1970, in West Liberty, a son of James C. 'Jim' Moore and Barbara Murphy Moore of West Liberty. In addition to his parents, Tom is survived by one daughter; Lucy Anne Moore of West Liberty; three sisters, Donna and husband Tony Sargent of West Liberty, Kelia and husband Richard Day of Owingsville, and Jamie Moore of West Liberty; one brother, Raymond Moore of West Liberty; maternal grandmother, Lenora Perkins Murphy of Morehead; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Tom was a master machinist and toolmaker and worked for Morehead Machining, Polycraft Machining in Georgetown, and most recently Nestle Corp. in Mt. Sterling. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, hunting, and fishing. Tom also enjoyed family events and was extremely proud of Lucy, his seven-year-old daughter. Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Harold Ashcraft officiating. Burial wa in the Day Cemetery at Blairs Mill. Pallbearers: Glendon Lowe, Jess Day, Joe Day, Chris Sargent, Mike Webb, Jeremy Hale, Shawn Bentley, Steve Crager, Rob Combess, and Mick Nolen. Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
