James Leonard Slagle, age 60, of Washington Court House, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at the home of his niece in Clearfield, Kentucky.

Born February 19, 1959, in Washington Court House, Ohio, he was the son of the late Leonard Earl Slagle and Betty Mitchell Brown.

He is survived by one daughter, Dorothy (Chase) Starr of Frankfort, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kaylee, Lucas, and Chelsea Starr; three sisters, Linda L. Seyfang of Farmers, Kentucky, Mary Jane Watson of Washington Court House, Ohio, and Cynthia A. Michael of Lorida, Florida; and two special caregivers, his nieces Kim Dillon of Clearfield and Mia Bowling of Farmers. He was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia A. Kellogg.

James was a finish carpenter and former employee of Higgins Construction in Washington Court House, Ohio.  He enjoyed vacationing, traveling, and watching boat races.
