Obituary

James Edward -Poss- Stinson, age 85, of Old Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born April 21, 1922, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Jessie and Ethel Christian Stinson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry Edward Stinson. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dexter Crosthwaite Stinson, whom he wed May 12, 1951; one daughter, Teresa Kimbrell of Morehead, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Michele Jessee, Jamey Jessee and Brandon Kimbrell; and two great grandchildren, Dalton Jessee and MaKenna Jessee. Other survivors include one brother, Jessie Stinson, Jr., of Morehead, Kentucky, and one sister, Hildreth Sparks of Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Stinson served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a retired union construction employee. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Mantooth and Elder Deward Hall officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126, who will also serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
