Obituary

James Victor Padula Sr., 69, of Sharkey Road, Morehead, Kentucky, died at St. Claire Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, January 15, 2008. James was born to Kathleen Hussey Padula and Victor Padula on March 24, 1938, in Newark, New Jersey. Jim, a man of God, was a member of Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. He treated everyone with respect and shared his talents with all. He leaves behind a family who will always remember his love and example of fairness. Jim was an outdoorsman and family man. He adored his wife and family, the great outdoors and life. As Jim authored in October, 2006: The going is not so bad It-s the saying goodbye To those that don-t understand The reason why. It-s just a fact of what we are Just like a flower or a star We decorate for awhile Maybe bring a smile Say a word or two Do what we can do. What makes a good life Is knowing when to go. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Kathleen Hussey Padula. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marlene Valask Padula; two sons, James (Lydia) Padula and Michael (Debbie) Padula of Morehead; three daughters, Michele Coston of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jacquelyn (Danny) Caudill of Morehead, and Karyn (John) Krueger of Johnson City, Tennessee; and one sister, Karen (John) Kennedy of Cinnaminson, New Jersey. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ryan Zachary Adams, Maria and Monica Padula, Russell, Christie, Curtis, Caylie Coston and Josh Monroe, Anthony, D.
