James Lanney Moore, age 59, of CCC Trail, Morehead, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at his residence. He was born March 3, 1950, in Fayette County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late James Tracy and Eula Lewis Moore. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Jean Moore Crisp, on June 4, 2008. He is survived by four sons, James Nathan Moore and Richard Eugene Moore both of Columbus, Ohio, Kevin Lanney Moore and Jeremy Ray Moore both of Salt Lick, Kentucky; one daughter, Jennifer Yvonne and husband Jackie Lee Wells of Salt Lick, Kentucky; one sister, Roberta K. and husband Claude Meade of Morehead, Kentucky, and 10 grandchildren. Lanney was a former surveyor for Walker Corporation in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing and loved watching U.K. Basketball. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009, at the Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with the Rev. Charles Moore and Rev. Herbert D. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Ditney Cemetery. First cousins will serve as pallbearers. Ralph France, Dennis Lewis, Jeff Quisenberry and Sidney Moore will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
