James 'Jim' Michael Bruggeman, age 74, of Morehead, KY passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. Jim was born December 7, 1940, to the late Evelyn and Eugene Bruggeman of Fairborn, OH. He is survived by his wife Sonja Maria Bruggeman whom he wed on March 13, 2002. Jim had eight children: April Bruggeman, Erin Bruggeman, Michael (Jessica) Bruggeman, Jackie Mason, Christina Cole, Larry Mason, Michael (Cindy) Combs, and Shaughanessy (John) Morris. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren. Jim retired from the city maintenance department of Fairborn, OH after 20 years of faithful service. Because of his active community involvement with the VFW club, Jim was made a lifetime member of the VFW Post 9684 of Medway, OH. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports of all kinds. Jim was also a deacon in his church and loved serving. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the Hardburly Baptist Church, Hardburly, KY with Rev. John Morris officiating. Another funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the VFW Club Post 9684 of Medway, OH. Inurnment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Columbarium in Morehead, KY.
