James David 'Jimmy' Underwood, age 58, of Mushroom Road, Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born March 10, 1958, in Grayson, he is the son of Joyce Holbrook Underwood of Olive Hill and the late James Eventine Underwood, who passed away February 16, 2012. Jimmy is survived by one son, James Robert (Mindy) Porter of Lawndale, North Carolina; one stepson, David Stallard of Olive Hill; three daughters, Kelly (Danny) Dehart, Jennifer Dixon, and Joyce Stallard, all of Olive Hill; his mother; one sister, Julie Ann (Troy) Wilson of Olive Hill; two brothers, Timothy Edward (Charlotte) Underwood of Morehead and Shawn Michael (Garnett) Underwood of Lawton; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Jimmy was a self-employed mechanic and enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, playing horseshoes and watching Western movies. Graveside services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the Underwood Family Cemetery in Lawton with the Rev. Dale Richmond officiating.
