Obituary

James S. 'Jimmy' Johnson, age 72, of Morehead, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Life Care Center of Morehead. Born April 7, 1942, in Lexington, he was the son of the late James S. Johnson Sr., and Eula Holbrook Johnson. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cheryl Patton Johnson; two daughters, Allyson Barton of Paintsville and Chandra Herman and husband Nick of Lexington; four grandchildren, Amy Stapleton, Justin Barton, Nicole Herman, and special grandson Michael Justice; one great granddaughter, Alarah Stapleton; and one brother, David Johnson of Georgia. Jimmy graduated from Breckinridge Training School and attended Morehead State University. He retired from Columbia Gulf Transmission after 36 years as a truck driver and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his Jack Russell dogs. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Lee Cemetery with Brother Robert Thomas officiating. At his request, there is no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: o visitation. Funeral: Tuesday, September 30, 2014, 11 a.m., Lee Cemetery Interment: Lee Cemetery
