James Robert -Jim- Hinton, age 76, Maddox Lane, Olive Hill, KY, went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2011, at the Life Care Center, Morehead, KY, after a long battle with Parkinson-s disease. Born December 27, 1934, in Haldeman, KY, he was the son of the late Finley and Reba Jennings Hinton. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Nicholson Hinton, and two brothers, Scotty Hinton and Gentry -J. D.- Hinton. James is survived by his wife, Rosemary Maddix Hinton; one son, James Robert Hinton, Jr. of Flagstaff, AZ; three daughters, Lisa (Mark) Livingston, Houston, TX, Stephanie (Alex) Oney, Olive Hill, KY, and Julie (Bryan) Henry, Lexington, KY; and seven grandchildren, Jennifer Hinton of Los Angeles, CA, Colin and Shaun Livingston of Houston, TX, Corey and Drew Oney of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Norah and Madalyn Henry of Lexington, KY. Other survivors include five brothers, Morris (Marge) Hinton of Wellington, OH, Dale (Linda) Hinton of Jacksonville, FL, Jerry (Sally) Hinton of Hillsboro, OH, Danny (Colette) Hinton of Fostoria, OH, and Rick Hinton of Morehead, KY; six sisters, Janet Hinton and Wanda Sue (Ora) Porter of Olive Hill, KY, Linda Lou (Rick) Clouse of Salvisa, KY, Sandra Elkins of Florence, KY, Teresa (Reggie) Wheeler of Morehead, KY, and Jennifer (Jimmy) Morrison of Winter Haven, FL. James was the former owner of Hinton-s Mobile Home Park in Morehead, KY, retired from Boeing Airlines where he worked on the Space Shuttle Rocket #5 at NASA in Orlando, FL, as an Electronics Technician. He served in the Air Force for 8 years, in Goose Bay and Thule, Greenland, Germany, and several locations in the states. He loved to read, play his guitar and harmonica, spend time with his grandchildren and most of all, was a true and faithful Christian. He attended the Globe Christian Church, Globe, KY. James was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Rayburn and Brother Don Rivers officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Mausoleum with full military rites by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers: Corey Oney, Drew Oney, Wayne Stevens, Barry Porter, Adam Wheeler, and Lloyd Daniel Oakley. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Claire Hospice, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, KY 40351 Visitation: Thursday, September 8, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Friday, September 9, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Mausoleum
