James Buddy Hall, age 83, of Haldeman Road, Soldier, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at his residence.
Born June 7, 1938, in Soldier, James was the son of the late Pressie Hall and Carrie Arthurs Hall Cundiff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Tommy Arthurs; two sisters, Thelma Hall Collins Lewis and Ieda Hall Haines Lemasters; and special friend, Junior Logan.
James is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Jean McElhaney Hall, whom he married August 27, 1961; three sons, James Hall and wife Earlene, David Hall and wife Teresa, and Billy Hall and wife Janice; one daughter, Vicky Mann and husband Bob, all of Soldier; five grandchildren, James Raymond, Carrie, Jessica, Crystal, and Angel; 10 step grandchildren, Chris, Joe, Andrea, Jack, Jesse, Davey, Melinda, Anita, Joe, and Karen; three great grandchildren, Betty, Billy, and Ember; and a special friend, Emerson Williams of Morehead.
He had been a logger and school bus driver, as well as a former truck driver for Ken-More Stone in Morehead. James was a member of Solider Church of God and loved going to church. He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Madden officiating. Burial will follow in Bradley Cemetery on Dry Branch Road.
Pallbearers: Emerson Williams, Gilbert Riley, Cory Adams, Matt Ratliff, Coty Arthurs, and Joe Vance.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
