James F. 'Bubbie' Johnson, age 67, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at his home. He was born February 26, 1949, in Morehead, the beloved son of the late Carl P. and Louella Baldridge Johnson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carla Denise Johnson Littleton, who passed away August 13, 2014. Bubbie is survived by his devoted sister, Patsy J. Chadwell and husband Ronnie of Morehead. He was known as Uncle J.J. to his three nephews and one niece, Patrick (Joanna) Chadwell, Shawn (Miriam) Chadwell, Eric Littleton and Samantha Littleton, and two great nephews, Kaiden Chadwell and Noah Chadwell. He also leaves behind extended family and many lifelong friends in Morehead and Louisville. Bubbie graduated from Rowan County High School in 1967 and received a bachelor's degree in business from Morehead State University in 1971. Following graduation, he was employed as an insurance adjuster with Motorist Mutual Insurance Company in Lima, Ohio, transferred to the Louisville office, and retired from the company in 2000. He enjoyed keeping in touch with family and friends via social media. Bubbie will always be lovingly remembered by family and friends. At his request, private interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Morehead. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
