James Allen "Bub" Wicker, age 20, of Trent Ridge, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, in Morehead.

Born August 16, 2000, in Ashland, he is the son of James M. "Jim" Wicker and Susie Berniece Ison Wicker of Morehead.

Besides his parents, Bub is survived by two brothers, Jesse James Wicker and Jeremiah James Wicker, both of Columbus; two sisters, Heather Howard (Adam) of Sandy Hook and Emily Katherine Wicker of Morehead; four nephews, Jake Howard, Kayden Wicker, Kyle Howard, and Levi Wicker; two nieces, Audrey Howard and Lindsey Wicker.

Other survivors include his maternal grandfather, James Allen Ison of Morehead and paternal grandmother, Johnda Lee Wicker of Pedro, Ohio, as well as extended family and friends.

Bub was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Alene Matthews Ison, and paternal grandfather, James Melvin Wicker, Sr.

James graduated from Rowan County Senior High School in 2018 and was a union carpenter and member of Local 472 in Ashland.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, digging for arrowheads, and working on cars.  He also enjoyed music and playing his guitar.  He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Arnold Ison and Elder Clyde Mayse, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ison Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
