Obituary

Jacob Daniel Jones, age 15, son of Tim and Rebekah Gentzler Jones, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born February 25, 2002, in Fresno, California, and was an 8th grade student at Rowan County Middle School in Morehead. Jacob, who always brought a smile to everyone's face, loved animals and enjoyed writing short stories, drawing, fishing, hiking, and camping. He attended Grace Assembly of God in Clearfield. In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by one brother, Christopher Stevie Jones of Clearfield; maternal grandparents, Joe Gentzler of Port Angeles, Washington, and Heidi Hughes Gentzler of Olive Hill; paternal grandmother, Linda Heinrich, of Aroma, California; aunt, Leslie Gentzler of Clearfield; cousin, Richard Lee of Clearfield; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lawrence Stevie Jones. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the Grace Assembly of God, 1830 McBrayer Road, Clearfield, with Pastor Mike Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the Grace Assembly of God in Clearfield. Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead is caring for arrangements.
