Jackie D. Bartley, age 62, of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida, formerly of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009, at Lake Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Florida. He was born May 2, 1947, in Pikeville, Kentucky, and is the son of Nona Bartley of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida, and the late Everett Bartley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Ratliff, and a nephew, Chad Ratliff. In addition to his mother, Jackie is survived by his wife, Raquel Bartley; two nephews, Kenny and Mike Ratliff; and one sister-in-law, Lucy Clevinger Ratliff. Mr. Bartley retired after 21 years as guidance counselor at Mt. Sterling Elementary School and moved to Florida 12 years ago. He was a member of the Lake Panasoffkee First Baptist Church. Jackie was an avid deer hunter, loved music, playing the guitar, and Harley Motorcycles. Visitation is Sunday, December 20, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Spruce First Church of God, 4755 Old KY Hwy. 213, Jeffersonville, KY. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2009, at the church with Wendell Clevinger officiating. Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery.
