Jack Bronson Burgy, age 79, of Owingsville Manor, formerly of Fraley Drive, Morehead, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born February 14, 1937, in Kenton, Ohio, he was the only child of the late Paul and Zella Fern Ratcliff Burgy. Margie Marcella Owens Burgy, his wife of 40 years, preceded him in death on April 18, 2015. Jack is survived by two step-sons, Robert Joseph Collins of Texas, Michael Collins of Akron, Ohio; one step-daughter, Ruth Sabo of Akron, Ohio; and seven step-grandchildren, Marcus Sabo, Jacqueline Sabo, Alex Wright, Lukas Collins, Michael Collins, Stephanie Collins, and Louise Collins; special friends, Ronald Johnston of Ontario, Canada, and Estill and Sandy Crisp of Morehead; and his faithful and loving dog, Sparky. Jack served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a former police officer in Ohio. He also owned Jacks's Electronics for 20 years and was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast. Jack was a member of Phelps Lodge No. 482, Farmers; Morehead Shrine Club; and El Hasa Shriners in Ashland. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Daniel Royse and Glenda Pettit officiating. Burial will follow in Clearfield Cemetery with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Legion members will also serve as pallbearers. Visitation is 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, with Masonic services to be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday by Phelps Lodge No. 482 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
