J C Jolley, age 88, of Lori Lane, Clearfield, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at his residence.

Born January 29, 1935, in Fleming County, he was a son of the late Harrison Jolley and Iretta Earlywine Jolley. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Hall Jolley, and six brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marcella Caudill Jolley; two sons, J C Jolley, Jr. of Morehead and Leon Fultz (Debbie) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Travis Jolley (Angel) and Jennifer Surber (Mark); and four great grandchildren, Amos Jolley, Clara Jolley, Mason Surber, and Rylie Surber.

Other survivors include one brother, Marion Jolly of Ewing; three sisters, Janie Carpenter of Maysville, Marilyn Sweet and Nellie Ellison, both of Ewing; several nieces and nephews, as well as his church family and many friends.

J C proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a retired auto body repairman. He was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God since 1964. J C loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God with Pastor Cecil Ison and the Rev. Saundra Nathanson officiating.  Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery with full military honors presented by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Pallbearers:  Travis Jolley, Dennis Dailey, Michael Armstrong, Allan Ravenscraft, Randy Jolly, Jamie Jolly, and Raymond Conn.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God, 807 KY Hwy 519, Clearfield, KY 40313.
