Ivan Gregory Traylor, age 57, of Holly Fork Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born March 6, 1954, in Steubenville, Ohio, he was a son of the late Ivan and Margaret Violette Peckins Traylor. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Traylor and Alan Traylor, and one sister, Patricia Traylor Norris. He is survived by his wife, Carol Harmon Traylor, whom he married October 11, 1975; three sons, Richard Traylor and wife Jessica of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Alan Traylor of Morehead, Kentucky, and Christopher Traylor and wife Brandi of Hillsboro, Kentucky; three daughters, April Marshall and husband Jeremy of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Amanda Coots and husband Wayne of Huntsville, Alabama, and Rhonda Logan and husband Darrel of Morehead, Kentucky; and eight grandchildren. Toby and Mackenzie Traylor, Katelynn and Josiah Coots, D. J. and Rachel Logan, Victoria Marshall, Teirra Lake, and an expected baby girl to be born in December. Ivan is also survived by one brother, Charles Richard Traylor of Bath County, Kentucky; four sisters, Judy Omuhundro, Carol Caudill, and Barbara McCarty, all of Salt Lick, Kentucky, and Debbie Markwell of Farmers, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Born in Ohio, Ivan was raised in Bath and Rowan County and graduated from Rowan County High School in 1972. He was a lumber grader at Harold White Lumber Company for 30 years and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping, and woodworking. He was also a big NASCAR fan. Ivan loved his family dearly and attended Fox Valley Community Church, where he served as Assistant Pastor and adult Sunday School teacher. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011, at Fox Valley Community Church, Wallingford, Kentucky, with the Rev. Darrell Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Fraley Cemetery, Cranston Road, Morehead, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Timmy, Joe, Jon and Jeremy Smith, D. J. Logan, Darrel Logan and Dallas Fraley. Honorary Pallbearers will be his co-workers at Harold White Lumber Company. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
