Ivan Eugene 'Sonny' Logan, age 80, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at his home. Born February 10, 1936, in Morehead, he was the son of Hayden and Ethel (Hamilton) Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, the mother of his children, Pearl Easton Logan on August 9, 1972, and an infant son, Larry Logan. Sonny owned and operated Logan's Body Shop for more than 50 years. He enjoyed watching dirt track racing and NASCAR. Surviving are seven sons, Tim (Judy) Logan of Catlettsburg, Lawrence (Wilma) Logan, Rick (Kim) Logan, Jeff (Brenda) Logan, Kent (Tina) Logan, Ronnie (Jackie) Logan, and Keith Logan, all of Morehead; two daughters, Patricia (Chuck) Ashley and Iva (Jason) Pennington, all of Morehead; one sister, Linda (Tat) Rome of Kenner, Louisiana; one brother, Carl Clark of Muncie, Indiana; 23 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Hogge Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
