Ivan Eugene Branham, age 84, of Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015, at his residence. Born December 20, 1930, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Belva Green and Nellie Mae Egan Branham. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Hiram, Walter, Joe, and Roy Branham, and three sisters, Ruth Jewell Story, Ruby Turner, and Betty Jean Branham. His wife of 58 years, Thelma Ruth Clark Branham, passed away November 11, 2013. He is survived by two sisters, Lida Vice of Richmond and Janie Branham of Hammond, Louisiana; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends. Ivan served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from Morehead State University following 24 years of service. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Hutton Funeral Home with Elder Lonnie Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold Humphries, Nelson Humphries, William Earl Humphries, Jerry Stamper, Bob Whitt, and Ottis Morehouse.
