Irene Riddle Tackett, age 81, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. She was born January 21, 1930, in Rowan County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert and Alice Foster Riddle. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford Bowman and Ernest Riddle, and five sisters, Ocie Brown, Flora Perkins, Nora Pierce, Gracie Bowman, and Leona Jennings. Her husband, Dolla Tackett, passed away March 26, 1973. Irene is survived by four sisters, Zelma Perkins of Clearfield, Kentucky, Edith Goodman and Donna Jean Wallace, both of Morehead, Kentucky, and Thelma Young of Jasper, Georgia; nieces and nephews; and other family members. Irene was an employee of A.M.F. Industries in Shelby, Ohio, for 32 years and a member of the Church of God in Shelby. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the McClain-Arnold Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Wallace, Ronnie Goodman, Donald Goodman, T. J. Wallace, Wayne Black, Joe Noblett, and Paul Perkins.
