Gladys 'Irene' Goodpaster Lewis, age 86, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away on July 15, 2013. She was born March 31, 1927, in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Wheeler Preston Epperhart and Nellie Gray Barker Epperhart. Besides her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Goodpaster; a son, Tanoa E. Goodpaster; two brothers, Elmo Epperhart and Clarence Edward 'Bill' Epperhart; two sisters, Mildred Eileen Epperhart and Helen Taylor; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Williams. She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Wargny and husband George of Spring Hill, Tennessee; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Jean Stevens of West Alexandria, Ohio, and Connie Allen of Dayton, Ohio; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends. Visitation with the family will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Mt. Pisgah Christian Church with a funeral at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. James DeAtley and the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead is caring for local arrangements.
