Icie Fern Littleton Hamm, age 86, of Cranston Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born in Rowan County, on August 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Arch and Lorna Lewis Littleton. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Guy, Dorris, and Orris Littleton, and two sisters, June Richard and Jewell Howard. Fern's husband of 68 years, Henry Hamm, whom she married April 26, 1948, passed away July 30, 2016; a grandson, Air Force Staff Sgt. Daniel N. Fannin, on April 27, 2013, in Afghanistan; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia 'Patti' Faulkner Hamm on December 19, 2015. She is survived by two sons, Joseph Richard Hamm and Roy Eugene Hamm, and two daughters, Sharon Phyllis Hamm and Sharri Lynn Jones (Jeff Smedley), all of Morehead; one granddaughter, Caroline Sharon Hamm (Geoffrey Hamm); and three great grandchildren, Casandra, Maykala, and Adrian Hamm. Other survivors include two brothers, Cephas Littleton of Morehead and Phillip Littleton of Chillicothe, Ohio; three sisters, Agnes Back of Jacksonville, Florida, Ponzell Helterbrand and Teresa Helterbrand, both of Morehead; and numerous nieces and nephews. Fern was a custodian in Allie Young Hall and Fields Hall at Morehead State University for a number of years. She enjoyed cooking family dinners, working puzzles, collecting roosters, and visiting with family and friends. She has been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church since 1946. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Emerson Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Hogge Cemetery.
