Hollie D. Manning, age 64, of Park Hills Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at his residence. He was born June 25, 1947, in Sciotoville, Ohio, and was the son of the late Ernest C. Manning and Virgie Lambert Manning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Turvey, and two brothers, John Paul Manning and Ernest Clinton Manning, Jr. Hollie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lola -Kathy- Lykins Manning, whom he married April 20, 1964; two sons, H. David Manning and wife Paula and Paul G. Manning and wife Rhonda; one daughter, Jacqueline Logan and husband Ronnie, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and seven grandchildren, Keith Manning, Blake Manning, Montana Kiser, Maci Manning, Holly Manning, Jazzy Manning, and Clinton Logan. Also surviving are two brothers, Kenneth Manning of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and Levon Manning of Morehead, Kentucky; three sisters, Shelby Manning and Ruth Caudill, both of Morehead, Kentucky, and Nona Bartell of Springfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Hollie retired from Columbia Gulf Transmission, where he was employed from 1982-1999. He enjoyed -tinkering- with cars, socializing with everyone he met, and spending time with family. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Greg Harger and Shane Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Ditney Cemetery. Pallbearers: Keith Manning, Blake Manning, Brian Wallace, Shaune Jones, Ryan Jones, and Dewayne Fultz. Honorary Pallbearers: Dale Brown, Charles Barker, Danny Martin, Ronnie Logan, Tom Moore, Charles Glover, and Paul Stigall.
