Obituary

Hobert J. Snipes, age 83, of Sweeterville Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, and a resident of the Life Care Center of Morehead, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born April 13, 1926, in Lawton, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Tommie and Elva Caudill Snipes. He is survived by his wife, Cordie Arnold Trent Snipes; three stepchildren, Robert Trent of Morehead, Kentucky, Linden Trent of Hillsboro, Kentucky, and Kathy Trent Riddle of Morehead, Kentucky; two step grandchildren, Amy Riddle and David Trent, both of Morehead, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Hobert served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a former truck driver and in later years enjoyed buying and selling equipment and various types of machinery. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the McClain-Arnold Cemetery with Brother Ralph Taylor officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Visitation is 9 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
