Hildreth Ellis Brown, age 84, of Little Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center. Born December 22, 1923, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late George and Lala McKinney Ellis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd J. Brown, who passed away February 28, 2002; and a brother, Forest Lee Ellis. Mrs. Brown is survived by one daughter, Karlene and husband Orville Little of Morehead, Kentucky; two sisters, Hazel Pennock of Colorado; Jewell Moore of Haines City, Florida; two grandchildren, Amy and Jon; and two great-grandchildren, Katlyn and Harlan. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle Church of God. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening and attending church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Clark and Dr. Jack Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barrett Frances, Heath Loper, Shelby Mauk, Earl Nickell, Frank Mauk, and Gordon Donahue.
