Herman Lee Mabry, age 80, of Dry Creek Road, Clearfield, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born September 23, 1940, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Arthur Mabry and Nola Moore Mabry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Emil Mabry; two infant brothers, Clinton Mabry and Billy Mabry; and a brother-in-law, Granville Fraley.
Herman is survived by his wife of 31 years, Shelby Jean Adkins Mabry; one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Bryant and husband David of Hillsboro; three step sons, Randy Lee Razor of Morehead, Ricky Dee Razor and wife Jenny of Salt Lick, and Charles David Razor and wife Sara of Fleming County; 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Other survivors include two sisters, Mary Fraley of Morehead and Kathaleen Catron and husband Jack of Elliottville; two brothers, Clyde Mabry and wife Bernice and Bob Mabry and wife Joyce, all of Morehead; sister-in-law, Barbara Mabry; several nieces and nephews; and extended family, including his devoted church family, and many friends.
Herman was an employee of Cowden Manufacturing Company for 27 years, served as a Rowan County Magistrate for eight years, and was employed by the Rowan County Board of Education Maintenance Department for several years.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his loving family, especially the grandchildren. Herman was a Christian and faithfully attended Upper Dry Creek Church of God and has earned his great reward in Heaven. He will be lovingly remembered by family and friends who are rejoicing for him, although he will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gary Madden and Brother Steve Madden officiating. The funeral service will be livestreamed beginning at 12 noon on the Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Facebook page. Burial will follow in Crix Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Matt Bryant, Randy Razor, Ricky Razor, Elijah Razor, Colton Razor, and Shelby Hall. Honorary pallbearers: Jack Catron, David Razor, and Allen Razor.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
COVID-19 mandates as set for by the Governor will be observed.
