Obituary

Henry Cleveland Wallace, age 73, of Upper Lick Fork, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. He was born May 8, 1934, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Corbett and Elizabeth Perkins Wallace. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Vencil, Joseph, and Vernon Wallace. His wife, Bertha Jones Wallace, passed away July 29, 2007. He is survived by two sons, James Wallace and Donna and Anthony Wallace and Sherry, of Clearfield, Kentucky; four granddaughters, Crystal Derrickson, Amie Adkins, Kayla Wallace, and Kindra Wallace; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Lynn Derrickson and Cainan James Kegley; one brother, John Wallace of Morehead, Kentucky; and one sister, Pearl Ison and James of Morehead, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Wallace worked at Lee Clay Products Company for 15 years and was a lifelong farmer. In addition to farming, he especially enjoyed hunting and working with animals. He was a devoted family man and a member of Slab Camp Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Herbie Lewis, Rev. Carlos Bowman, and Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery on Jones Ridge. Pallbearers will be Clarence Jones, Glenn Jones, Clineon Mullins, Scotty Wallace, Doug Wallace, Virgil Brown, Danny Mullins, Terry Wallace, and Randall Rogers. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Monday, March 3, 2008, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 1 p.m. Interment: Jones Cemetery
