A natural caregiver, she devoted nearly 20 years to serving as a nurse's aide at the Life Care Center. She later worked for Community Alternatives of Kentucky as a House Manager, retiring in 2010.

Susie expressed her love for family and friends through her cooking and took great joy in preparing meals for those she loved. She also enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and needlepoint. Above all, her life centered on her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.

A devoted woman of faith, Susie was a faithful member of Rock Fork Church of God, where she was actively involved in the church and its women's group.
