Helen Jean Phillips, age 75, of the Heritage Place, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. She was born April 28, 1938, in Morgan County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Jesse Boone and Nancy Ann 'Nannie' Sargent Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Don Phillips and one sister, Wanda Nickell. Jean is survived by five daughters, Tammy Criswell of Morehead, Kentucky, Regina (Johnny) Kitchen of Paintsville, Kentucky, Melissa (Roger) Friend of Stanton, Kentucky, Robyn (Tim) McKinney of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Marsha (Jeff) Perry-Taylor of Morehead, Kentucky; two brothers, Richard (Jean)Phillips of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Justin (Kay) Phillips of Salt Lick, Kentucky; two sisters, Anita Phillips Tucker of Danville, Kentucky, and Debbie Phillips of Morehead, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a special nephew, Donnie Wayne Phillips of West Liberty, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins. Jean was a homemaker and a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music, watching Billy Graham programs, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Dallas McKinney officiating. Honorary pallbearers: Brandon Williams, Michael Kitchen, Shawn Kitchen, Dallas McKinney, Josh Warren, T. J. McKinney, and Donnie Wayne Phillips. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
