Helen Christine McClurg Fannin, age 82, of Freestone Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at the St. Joseph Hospital Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born January 1, 1930, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late John and Lona Ward McClurg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Autie Fannin on September 15, 1999; one brother, Rollie McClurg; and three sisters, Hazel Lykins, Opal Perdue, and Donna Mae Elam. Mrs. Fannin is survived by two sons, Danny Toler and wife Juanita of Versailles, Kentucky, and Gary Toler and wife Rhelda of Clearfield, Kentucky; two daughters, Lisa Cox and husband Bill of Winchester, Kentucky, and Paula Baldridge and husband Joe of Morehead, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Melissa Shultz, Shawna Banks, Megan Rittenhouse, Brittany Toler, Emily Baldridge, and Bethany Baldridge; and five great grandchildren, Sawyer, Abigail, and Palmer Shultz and Lainey and Gavin Banks. Mrs. Fannin was a homemaker and worked in the Morehead State University cafeteria during the 1960s. She was an avid U.K. fan, enjoyed her grandchildren, and reminiscing about her family. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Caldwell, Dr. Don Mantooth, and Danny Toler officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Blevins, Clettis Fannin, James Fannin, Mark Elam, Eddie Sluss, and Chuck Davis. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
