Helen Murphy Kennedy, age 82, of Morris Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009, at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky. Born November 3, 1926, in Mansfield, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Helen Murphy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Kennedy; three brothers, Bobby Murphy, Jim Murphy and Dick Murphy; one sister, Margaret Mazza; and a granddaughter, Kerry Kennedy. She is survived by one son, John Michael Kennedy of Mansfield, Ohio; two daughters, Paula Skaggs of Morehead, Kentucky, and Patty Howe of Mansfield, Ohio; one sister, Margie Beyerly of Finley, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. There will be no visitation or service. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, Ohio.
