Obituary

Helen Pauline Hamilton Tanner, age 70, of U.S. 60 East, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born July 25, 1940, in Rowan County, Kentucky, Helen was the daughter of Trace and Rena Fraley Hamilton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert R. Tanner, son Tony Estep, son-in-law David Triggs, brother Pastor Kenny Hamilton, brother-in-law Larry Hamm, brother-in-law Ronald Parker, and sister-in-law Gwyneth Hamilton. She is survived by two daughters, Diana Triggs and Debra Souders, both of Morehead, Kentucky; two sisters, Barbara Lawhorn and husband Arthur and Mildred Parker; two brothers, Vernon Hamilton and wife Doris Jean and Milton Hamilton; one sister-in-law Linda Hamilton, all of Morehead, Kentucky, and a very special friend, Gary Bond of Olive Hill, Kentucky. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Drue Triggs, Devin Triggs, Paula Hamilton, Brittany Martindill, Tyler Brandenburg and wife Chris; two great grandchildren, Cody Brooks Souders, Delilah Souders; and several nieces and nephews. Helen had a zest for life and always had a smile on her face. Her strength helped keep her family going in good and bad times. She loved gardening, canning, writing poetry, and playing BINGO. She was of the Christian faith and will be very sadly missed. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lansford May officiating. Burial will follow in Adams-Plank Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jeff Parker, Tracy Hamilton, Drue Triggs, Tyler Brandenburg, Rex Hamilton, Kenny Adult, and Kevin Hamm. Honorary Pallbearers: Cody Souders and Mark Hamilton. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Thursday, May 5, 2011, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Friday, May 6, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Adams-Plank Cemetery
