Hazel Opal Fife Griffith, age 92, of Green Valley Acres, Morehead, Kentucky, went peacefully to be with the Lord on February 21, 2013. She was born August 12, 1920, at Pikeville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late John and Alka Hunter Fife. She was also preceded in death by three infant children and her husband of 65 years, Arnold Griffith, who passed away March 4, 2001. Survivors include two sons, Tommy Griffith and his wife Neva and Roger Lee Griffith, and three daughters, Juanita Hall, Joyce Anne Meade and her husband Chuck, and Sandra Wilson and her husband Dwain, all of Morehead, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Sherri Brooks, Mea Griffith, Soni Griffith Lytle and Steven Dwayne Wilson; and three great grandchildren, Noelle Tucker, David Thomas Saxon, and Emily Jane Wilson. Mrs. Griffith was a beloved Mother and Mamaw and a Christian who faithfully attended the Farmers Church of God (Morehead ChristWay) for 45 years. Private services will be conducted with interment at Brown Cemetery with Bishop Greg Guy officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.
