Harold G. Slone, age 64, of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, son of the late Jack Slone and Eva Slone Kissick, passed away October 6, 2009, at his home after a short illness. Mr. Slone is survived by his son, Harold Slone, Jr., of Atlanta, Georgia; his daughter, Sacha Slone of Lexington, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Joshua and Tulula Miller; his brother, Jack Slone; and his many friends and relatives. All will sorely miss him. Harold was a graduate of Morehead High School, Morehead State University, and received his Doctor of Law degree from the University of Kentucky. He formerly resided in Lexington where he practiced law for several years. In 1986 he moved to Atlanta where he formed Pace Manufacturing Company which he built into one of the largest candle manufacturing and gift shop merchandising companies in the nation. In 1999 he sold those operations to an international company and soon became involved in other ventures throughout the United States including land development, warehousing, and oil and gas explorations and productions. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009, at the Stanton Cemetery in Stanton, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a humane society of your choice. Arrangements are under the directions of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
