Harold Stanley Easterling, age 64, of Hwy. 711, Blairs Mill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011. Born April 4, 1947, in Morgan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Gerald Emerson and Mattie Jewell Elam Easterling. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Lynn Easterling; two sisters, Diana Jo Cook and Judy Caddell; and one daughter, Robin Michelle Easterling. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Thornsberry Howard Easterling; two sons, Stanley Allen Easterling and Kevin Joseph Easterling and wife Suzanne, all of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Mellisa Dawn Wallace and husband Douglas of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two stepsons, Tracy Howard and wife Tammy of Blairs Mill, Kentucky, and Troy Wayne Howard of Louisville, Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Teresa Jennings and husband Gary of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Leisa Howard and husband Scottie of Elliott County, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 5 step grandsons; and 5 step granddaughters. Other survivors include six brothers, Gerald Edwin Easterling, Elbert Lee Easterling, Jeffery Darren Easterling and Jack Dwayne Easterling, all of West Liberty, Kentucky, Barry Steven Easterling of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Thomas Patrick Easterling of Salt Lick, Kentucky; three sisters, Janice Easterling, and Pamela Williams, both of West Liberty, Kentucky, and Valerie Cotten of Grayson, Kentucky; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. Stanley was a 15-year employee of Mountain Enterprises and loved to hunt, fish, and garden. He was also a farmer and well-known candy maker. Stanley was a member of the Oak Hill Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Herbert D. Lewis and Rev. Gary Madden officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery at Blairs Mill. Pallbearers will be Gale Thornsberry, Larry Easterling, and Stanley-s brothers. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.
