Harold Granville Brown, age 72, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born October 28, 1945, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Andrew Bert and Maudie Lou Ramey Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jessie Madeline Brown Peyton and infant Virginia Brown; one nephew, Ernest Peyton; and his wife, Glenda Carol Purvis Brown, who passed away July 1, 1988. Harold is survived by seven nieces and nephews: Patty Hall (James) of Wellington, Bert Peyton of Morehead, Betty Fossett (Tommy) of Morehead, Chloe Mays (Roy) of Pomeroyton, Judy Brewer (James) of Morehead, Linda Thurman (Billy) of Wellington, and James Peyton of Morehead; extended family and many friends. Known as a jack-of-all trades, Harold was a carpenter and mechanic who specialized in engine repair from weed eaters to cars and trucks. He enjoyed helping others and could "fix" almost anything. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Burial will follow in the Peyton Cemetery.
