Obituary

Harold Gene Black, age 60, of Pioneer Drive, Flemingsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013, at his residence. He was born July 11, 1952, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Ed and Ada Knipp Black. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Cletus Earl Black, Ed Junior Black, Hurshel Black, and George Russell Black, and two sisters, Thelma Engle and Georgia Katherine Black. Harold is survived by two brothers, Ora Black of Richmond, Indiana, and Charles Black of Morehead, Kentucky; four sisters, Maxine Harris of Clarksville, Tennessee, Regina Wallace of Clearfield, Kentucky, Janice Minard of Mansfield, Ohio, and Leola Fields of Culver, Indiana; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Harold was a farmer and enjoyed gardening, yard work, and helping others. He was of the Christian faith. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Winston McClurg officiating. Burial will follow in Black Cemetery on Bluebank Road. Pallbearers will be James Wallace, Zachary Wallace, David Donathan, Brian Osborne, Lloyd Wallace, and Dougie Wallace. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Monday, January 14, 2013, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 1 p.m. Interment: Black Cemetery
