Obituary

Harles Caudill, age 84, of Highway 955, Olive Hill, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014, at his residence. He was born July 14, 1930, in Carter County, a son of the late Willie and George Ann Goodan Caudill. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Denny, Roger, and William Caudill. Harles is survived by his wife, Vivian Mae Owens Caudill; five brothers, Harold and Junior Caudill of Mansfield, Ohio, Elwood and George Caudill of Olive Hill, and Wayne Caudill of Morehead; two sisters, Evelyn Caudill King of Morehead, and Carolyn Clark of Olive Hill. Other survivors include many extended family members and friends. Harles served in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he lived in the Mansfield, Ohio, area during most of his working years. He retired from AK Steel in Mansfield and he and Vivian returned to Carter County in 1990. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Brian Farmer and the Rev. Myron Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Clearfield Cemetery with full military honors presented by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers: Erik Caudill, Reggie Caudill, Randy Caudill, Eric Stinson, Darren Caudill, and Rocky Porter. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
