Gregory Gerald Jones, Sr., age 68, of U.S. 60 West, Morehead, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018, at his residence. He was born January 31, 1950, in Connersville, Indiana, a son of the late Casey Jones and Ruth Rose Jones. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Jones. Greg is survived by his wife, Judith E. Lewis Jones, whom he married October 5, 1968; one son, Greg Jones, Jr., and Darla of Morehead; one daughter, Amanda M. Jones of Morehead; two grandchildren, Kristin and Derek Jones; and one great grandson, Wade Masters. Other survivors include three brothers, Joe, Randy, and Evan Jones, all of Connersville, Indiana; one sister, Teresa Jones of Chicago, Illinois; other relatives and friends. Greg was a U.S. Navy veteran. He had been a telephone construction employee in many states and was a former supervisor for G.T.E in Indiana and Triple D Communications in Nicholasville. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Private graveside services will be conducted at Clearfield Cemetery with Pastor Robert Kidd officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by Morehead American Legion Post 126. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
